About/Contact

Welcome to the home of Free Northerner.

I’m  a Christian and a reactionary monarchist from British North America.

You can read my story at my first post. In short, I became dissatisfied with my life.

After a period of red pill exploration I have decided to embrace Christian masculinity. I am working to improve myself for God’s glory. My plan is to find a wife and raise a large family with traditional values. Failing that, by age 35 I plan to have established a plan and enough income to live independently without relying on a regular job.

  1. Sounds like we have a few things in common!

I like your ‘beginner’s mind’ mentality. Shoshin, I believe it’s called in Zen. Count me as a FN reader, and send me an email if you’d like to start up a correspondence.

    Cheers,

    Frost

  2. Thanks. Yeah, I read your book and when you described your job in the Canadian public service and your thoughts about it; it very closely matched what I’ve been noticing about my job for the last few months.

As for Shoshin, I’ve heard that word before in my martial arts practice. Good to know what it means. I’m trying to keep my mind open while I consider things.

  3. I am interested in articles that discuss women acting one way, and freaking out if the obvious is verbalized. If you have written on the subject, or read a good article on it, I would appreciate being pointing in the right direction.

One example is I broke up with a woman last week for her being “put out” over me assuming I was sleeping at her place, even though we had slept with each other every week for several weeks. Another example is when a date is not supposed to be called a date: http://wp.me/p2Pdiy-Br

Calling an obese women “fat”, or a women that sleeps with many men a “slut”, are more extreme examples.

But I am talking about the phenomenon of women acting one way, and being okay with it as long as the elephant in the room isn’t verbalized. This characteristic is causing me much grief as I continue to date.

    Thanks in advance.

I love this site and hate that I did not find it sooner.

  4. Hello There,
I just wanted to see if you were currently interested in additional guest bloggers for your blog site.
I see that you’ve accepted some guest posters in the past – are there any specific guidelines you need me to follow while making submissions?
If you’re open to submissions, whom would I need to send them to?
I’m eager to send some contributions to your blog and think that I can cover some interesting topics.
    Thanks for your time,
    Tess

  5. If you would like to submit a guest post, simply send it to me at the e-mail above. There are no guidelines other than to make it mostly readable and it has to be somewhat related to the blog.

  6. “All post made on this site”…please learn the difference between singular and plural. Should be “posts”.

    Thank you.

  7. I do know the difference between the two, but given that I write a few thousand words on here a week with no editor, typos and mistakes are somewhat common. But I edited it.

  8. Just found your blog and I must say that I’m very impressed with your level of insight. I am new to the manosphere and I am finally able to put form to the ideas that I have carried for most of my life but have not been able to crystalize. Although our life situations are overly similar (I am a mid-forties married male), much of what you write resonates with me quite a bit. Keep the faith and stay on the journey. I’m now a follower of your blog.

  9. Hi Joana,

I think the pastor is going a bit far. While generally men like to pursue, and women prefer being pursued, there’s nothing inherently wrong about a woman asking a man for a date. If a women likes a man, I would urge her to take some action, even if not asking her out, at least making it very clear she would like to be asked out. Although, many men do like to pursue, so there is the small chance that a women asking would lead to rejection when her presenting herself might have led to him asking, but that’s a tactical rather than moral issue.

Now, the pastor is correct that if a woman makes a habit of perpetually asking men out with no greater purpose, that would be a problem of her priorities, but that would also go for men.

  10. How can America ever be free when it is controlled by the Vatican and the popes of Rome? Has anyone looked around lately to see who is REALLY controlling America? First, look at The Supreme Court ; the law of the land of America but yet it is controlled by the mere statistic that 6 of the 9 justices are Jesuit Catholics – representatives of a foreign government who have sworn their allegiance to the popes of Rome and the Vatican a Foreign government! But also look at the Broadcast networks of ABC, Jesuit Catholic Socialist Democrat Diane Sawyer & David Meire, NBC- Jesuit Catholic Socialist Democrat Brian Williams MSNBC Socialist Democrat Chris Matthews —CNN Jesuit Catholic Socialist Democrat Pierce Morgan Rachel Maddow, Wolf Blitzer — CBS Jesuit Catholic Socialist Democrat President David Rhodes, FOX everybody, Jesuit Catholic Bill Oreilly, Sean Hannity, Geraldo Riviera Rupert Murdoch,

But even worse,President Barack Obama is Jesuit Catholic just like his mother who began in Lebanon but of even greater concern is the DECEIT of Jesuit Catholicism who worship Satan’s Culture of many GODS and worship women—all women from Mary Mother Christ [madonna] to Satan himself—

  11. Kudos to you for taking deliberate steps to sort through these big questions. So many young men don’t bother to think about anything.

I read Captain Capitalism regularly, and find a fair amount of what he says useful, but he does have an axe to grind against Christians and against family. If you are wrestling about your faith and desire for a family, you won’t find any support for either there. An interesting manosphere blog I read regularly is Married Man Sex Life, who is an ex-Christian but much of what he writes I find to be very compatible with Christian mores.

Libertarianism as a broader subject I have had more interaction with on a personal level. I believe it is fully compatible with Christian thought and know some pastors who would hold to those ideas politically. However, I know several people on a personal level who would claim to follow Christ but have gone off the rails because of their libertarian perspectives. One of the most critical passages when dealing with anarcho-libertarianism is wrestling carefully with Jesus’ command to render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s, and Paul’s teachings in his epistles with regards to the role of government in our lives. I think a true anarcho-libertarian will inevitably place his politics in front of his faith if he doesn’t submit to Christ with regards to the importance of politics in the life of the believer. It is secondary to the mission of God if you truly follow Christ.

Happy to chat more about these issues. I used to blog on politics extensively… but life keeps me too busy to blog regularly anymore. I am more conversant in the intersection of faith and politics, so let me know if there is anything you’d like to discuss.

  12. Hey carbuncle. He does seem to have a few axes to grind, but its more interesting than offensive. MMSL is good, but I don’t check it out as much as I used to. Probably will more if/when I get married.

Christ does have to come first. If there is no Caesar, what does not have to render unto him.

  13. Hi Free Northerner,

I’ve been reading your blog for awhile and I’ve even checked out the Recommended reading list. I am curious though, what is your stance on interracial marriage and relations?

  14. Hey Nick. The Bible does not forbid the interracial marriage, so it is not a sin. (There’s the whole Jews not marrying outside their community thing, but that’s more religious than ethnic). I have no moral problem with it.

Practically, it’s not something I particularly desire for myself.

Other than that, if some communities want to practice it, I have nothing against that. If some communities want to discourage it, I have nothing against that either.

To me, it’s more or less a non-issue.

  15. Can you tell me when did you start your blog and how is it goin’ so far…
Did you mange to make some money?

  16. I’m glad you state your standpoint. I find it difficult to work out what standpoint some reactionary blogs come from.
As you’re a Christian, can you please explain why you think it’s OK to use the Cathedral as a symbol of the collapse of European Civilisation because I don’t get it at all.

I see the Cathedral as representing the very best of European Civilisation and it irks me that it has been appropriated in this way and even more irksome is that some Christians go along with it.

I see there is a vast wealth of writing that explains the theory but what I’ve read doesn’t explain to me why some people seem to be upset by protestants (unitarians), others by catholics, others by atheists etc. and yet you all seem to ‘hang out’ together. Aren’t these mutually exclusive standpoints?

Also, not to be too personal but why the use of black and dark. Could we not do with a cheerful, positive outlook for the future? one in which we celebrate Europeanness?

  17. RE: above

Empires in decline generally do not magically come back from it. If the world lasts long enough to see another great world Empire, the betting men are picking between China or some kind of Muslim Caliphate.

There are reasons to prefer one over the other but were I to gamble I would gamble on the Muslims. Most powerful empires begin with a sense of religious fervor and a feeling that what they are doing is “God’s work,” and China doesn’t really have that going for it. When you’re doing “God’s work” whatever you do will be above reproach and beyond question (i.e., good luck getting a “Muslim Army” to agree to Geneva Conventions and any sense of a “fair fight”).

Already Islam is quietly inserting itself into European societies and neighborhoods and taking over more or less without any “shots being fired,” so while you can’t point to any one Islamic country and say “yeah they’re big and powerful like the Chinese,” they certainly have cultural hegemony down.

    To author of blog:

I guess I answered my question as to whether you still identified as a Christian.

  18. You might consider fixing the typo in your blogroll. It’s ‘AnomalyUK’, not ‘AnamolyUK’,

  19. Hi Free Northerner,

I was wondering if you were still covering/linking to Return of King articles in your Lightning Rounds series. It seems like a while back you decided to stop linking because of some published posts that didn’t jive with Christian/Traditional views.

However, some of the writers are putting out quite reactionary, biblically-interesting works, such as this one recent entry (on which I wonder what your thoughts might be) : http://www.returnofkings.com/59170/bad-things-happen-when-women-lead-and-men-follow

Perhaps you might rethink omitting all RoK posts from the Lightning series? I know it’s sometimes more PUA-oriented, and a lot of noise is being put out, but certainly some material is occasionally quite compelling.

  20. Thanks Exfernal.

Free wolf: I took them off my regular reading. I wasn’t reading them that much and the quality there has been going downhill for a while, with the ‘banging married chicks’ article being the last straw. I might post a particular link if something comes up that I like, but I don’t plan to read them regularly any more.

  21. I stumbled upon your blog while googling something completely unrelated….as a woman, and as a Christian, I am disappointed and discouraged. You just don’t get it. I feel sorry for you, even through my anger at your misogyny, your ignorance, your heartlessness, and your empty ideas about what it means to be a “man” and a “conservative.” Wow…..just wow. Anyway, I hope you do find a way to fill the emptiness…..good luck with that, buddy.
